Town Financial Background

The Town of Rising Sun has a population of roughly 2871 and provides municipal services, including Administration, Police, Park & Recreation, Wastewater Treatment, Water Distribution, Public Facility Maintenance, Streets and Sidewalks, Code Enforcement, Building Inspections, Planning and Zoning.

Accounts are organized using a General Fund with individual departments reflected within the Fund. The Town also has 2 Proprietary Funds, consisting of Sewer and Water.
