The Public Works Department (DPW) strives to provide top quality, professional, effective, and timely services to residents and businesses. Under the supervision of Public Works Director Ron Thomas, the departments mission is to enhance the quality of life in Rising Sun by managing and maintaining the Town's Infastructure, and Public Property to include Streets and Sidewalks, Municipal Parking Lots, Community Parks, Town Vehicles, Street Lights and misceleaneous equipment. With a staff of 4 the DPW is responsible for the Public Works, Streets and Sidewalks, Sewer and Water portions of the FY `08-'09 Budget. The DPW has staff members with various state licenses and certifications in Water Quality and Sewage Treatment.
